Hibiscus Ring Casted in Brass, Finishing & Nano coating - Part 4
In real production we scale on every movement to know how much grams we got loss on material on the production process. I am using Europe standard for finishing that make many steps but giving us the best result and a correct way in silver, brass, copper even gold production. And the end bring to a dilemma when determine the prices. But frankly, customers very happy with the quality.
The main problem in jewelry is fire skill, shiny but cloudy. The reason some manufacturer to do a rhodium plating and silver plating on silver jewelry!. We don't use any plating, only coating to protect the finishing and only for brass that easy to turn to patina (green) color.

Provide an advice in designing, especially designers who work on 2D images, the pictures looked nice but could not be process due to technical problems. Sometimes after production, items are very heavy and difficult to sell. This is the common problems that come from a new designers that previously not working at jewelry manufacturer. Keep following I will share my experiences... Enjoy!
Hibiscus Ring Casted in Brass, 3D printing & RTV Molding - Part 2
Projet 3D Printer for jewelry is exceptional for small jewelry. Working area is 40x40x25 mm, 25 is thickness. Low cost, already 3 years still running good. A day can print 4-6 pcs rings, pendants, beads, earrings, etc. But due to the support cannot put any design inside the ring, or full of designs. Enjoy, hope this will help for who is looking for a 3D printing machine. Don't hesitate to ask...

Experiences Shrunk On Ring Sizes
Experiences Shrunk On Ring Sizes
Casting will face shrunken problems. In my experiences it will be vary and depending on the design. Regarding with ring sizes, for sizes 6 and under it will be shrinked 1/2 size. Sizes 7 to 9 it will shrinked 1/2 - 3/4 size. Above 9 is mostly 3/4 to 1 size depending on the thickness.
It does mean when I want size 7 on production result and using rubber for the mold (low cost) then I made size 7 3/4 on 3D design because it shrinked a lot. If using liquid mold/ silicon which less shrinked I made size 7 1/2 for the 3D design. Silicon is very good for precision but the life time is 50-80 pcs waxes production, the cost is 50% higher than rubber mold. Using for designs with calibrated gemstones.
Below is The USA standard size, and hope it will useful for you. I made this chart using RhinoGold which the second software I've been using. Thanks
